SNAP is a dance performance co-created by visual artist Valentýna Janů, professional dancers Monina Nevrlá and Zizoe Akopjan Veselá, and DJ New Magic Media. It is a lullaby of body objectification and the constraints of gender and movement normativity. The choreography balances between spectrality and authenticity, mixing multiple dance and music genres in the pursuit of escaping the established categories. As a result, the three figures in the spotlight take the audience to the notional border between the show and the backstage.
